This is a 7 mile linear C walk along the Fife Coastal Path from East Wemyss to Kirkcaldy. Ascent is minimal, but there are steep and uneven steps at one point.
From Kirkcaldy we take a bus to East Wemyss and walk through West Wemyss and Dysart ending up at Kirkcaldy. Along the way there are castles and various memorials to the coal-mining past of that section of the coast.
We meet at Currie Library car park at 9.00am for 9.10am departure. Or, meet at Pathhead Sands car park, Kirkcaldy KY1 2PF (below Ravenscraig Castle) at 10.00am. PLEASE BRING BUS PASSES

Directions to start point:
TakeM8/M9 and follow signs for Forth Road Bridge – leave at J1A on to M90. Then take J1C signed for Inverkeithing and for A985/921. Take B9157 on your left at roundabout, signed for Kirkcaldy, after Dalgety Bay.
When you enter Kirkcaldy, keep on Invertiel Road down to the esplanade (Morrisons on RH side), and you will pick up the A921 again down at the esplanade. Follow A921 past the docks until you see a car park on your right. The car park we are aiming for is the Pathhead Sands car park KY1 2PF, NT289922, and it is accessed from just before that top car park – down the hill to the beach. Carpark entrance is hard to spot- you will see a block of flats on your left. The car park we want is below Ravenscraig Castle, down at the beach.
