Overview

THURSDAY - the Industrial Hamlet is closed on Wednesdays.

From the start point we will walk down through Ecclesall woods, which is the largest ancient woodland in South Yorkshire, to Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet. With a history going back to the 13th century, we will take a tour of the dwellings and workshops of this working museum, finding out about the innovative processes and people that established Sheffield's reputation as a steel city.

There's an excellent cafe here which we will make use of before walking back to the start by a different route through the woods. Entry to the museum is free, donations are encouraged.

Please book by text or phone.
