Overview

This watery wander uses the Shropshire Canal to explore three of Shropshire's largest Meres, known locally as Shropshire's Lake District. They were created in the ice age, as large glaciers sank into soft ground before melting. We also take in the village of Welshampton before returning over a small hill and fields to Ellesmere.
