Overview

The walk will start at the car park below Errwood Hall SK11 0AR ///blaring.brisk.speaks

If using maps or What3words best to search Errwood Hall Parking not the post code.

We will ascend the path directly above the car park which will lead us to the ruins of Errwood Hall built in 1830s by the Grimshawe family. It was demolished in connection with the construction of the Errwood and Fernilee Reservoirs. We will continue on tracks up through woods  followed by moorland until we reach the path across the Tors towards Shining Tor. Cats Tor, Oldgate Nick, and Pam Chair will be behind us with spectacular views all around.

Our walk will continue down and back towards the reservoirs before reaching the car park again. Very good underfoot with steep incline and decline but we will be taking our time to enjoy the landscape.
