From the centre of Auchtermuchty the walk follows a long, gentle ascent into the fringes of the Pitmedden Forest and visits Newhill before returning via The Clink and Auchtermuchty Common.
To reach start, if approaching from Strathmiglo direction on the A 91, turn left into the B 936, signed Newburgh & Perth, and continue for about 400 m. The location - at what was formerly the Cycle Tavern, can be identified by signs to Library & Primary School. Find on street parking in that area.
