We start with a short walk through the plague village of Eyam and then follow the heather moors with extensive views to Hathersage and the hills. We go over Abney Moor to the village of Foolow, and then track down the well-hidden and unmarked but impressive Waterfall Swallet, shortly before returning to Eyam. (Disclaimer - water flow cannot be guaranteed.)
The walk is mostly on good paths or quiet country roads, with some steep sections; trekking poles are helpful.
