Overview

This pastoral walk begins in the large layby at Bainton. 

Walking down Applegarth Lane, we head to Neswick Lane and walk by Burn Butt's, via Old Field 

Arriving at Cawkeld, we go by Wedding Wood,and then  proceed  to the outskirts of Bracken. 

We then head back to Neswick  Lane and Applegarth Lane, and back to the cars.

The walk is mostly flat, but also has gradual uphill climbs in places.

There is some road walking , but the walk is mostly along hedgerows .

Dogs are welcome but on short leads please.

As always new walkers are welcome.

At the time of reccying the walk 18/9/24, placid cattle were encountered in a field.
