We will be starting in the market town of Faringdon and heading straight up to Faringdon Folly, an early C20th tower built by the eccentric Lord Berners, with commanding views over the Thames Valley and the White Horse Downs. Then we take a linear and easy walk to Buckland where we will have lunch at the church. We work our way back to Faringdon via the village of Littleworth. Hopefully the Sadler Café will still be open for us to enjoy some tea and cake.
Just to add that we will cross the A420 twice. It is a busy road and much care must be taken. Walkers will be reminded at appropriate moments.
Dogs on leads will be fine so long as they are alright crossing the busy road. Look out for sheep and barbed wire.
