Hi All!
I'm bringing you a new interesting walk. Just a short half an hour drive from Aberdeen near the village of Kemmay is a ruin of the House of Fetternear that got destroyed in a fire in 1919. The building is still really impressive and gorgeous tolook at and the surrounding area is quite pretty mostly a forest. The walk is short only 8km long perfect if you want to just go easy on a Saturday or if it be your first walk with the group.
We will meet at Fetternear Car Park at 9 am and go from there. The car park is a bit small so depending on how many people sign up you might need to park somewhere inside Kemmay but the path is walkable from the town to the meetup point. Since its a small walk as well we will likely head for lunch somewhere in the area afterwards.
If you need a lift let people know in the comments somebody will happily give you a ride to and from.
We are dog friendly but please let us know beforehand when taking your pet.
We will continue to register attendance using the Ramblers App. If you are a Ramblers member, it would be really helpful if you could either bring your membership card along, or download and login to the Ramblers app. If you are not a Ramblers member, I will ask for your name and contact number/e-mail at the start. ***If this is your fourth or more walk with AYW then you need to have Ramblers membership: http://www.ramblers.org.uk/become-a-member.aspx
Any questions please feel free to get in touch with me.
Looking Forward to seeing you there!
Stay Awesome :)
