Overview

This is a figure of 8 walk, which means we will return to the starting point at lunchtime, and do another loop in the afternoon. This means you can do the morning walk only, the afternoon walk only or walk all day.

If walking all day, please bring a packed lunch with you, as there won't be time to order food in the pub.

Morning Walk Starting from the layby on the western end of the river Gt Ouse river bridge. We will walk through the village of Turvey and past the Abbey and through the old grounds of the Abbey. Fro there we will walk out into the surrounding fields and back via a different route into the village where we will stop for lunch on the village green and have a drink in The Three Cranes pub.

4miles 10.30am start

Afternoon walk starting at the Three Cranes pub, we head north out of the village walking across the fields on good grass paths out towards Gt Oaks wood, and back past Gt Oaks Farm and back into Turvey.
