Around 9.5 miles , total ascent about 2150ft/650m .
The hike takes a circular clockwise route. The first section past Llyn Eigiau. Is fairly flat before gently climbing to a large disused quarry. From here we make our way off trail up to Foel Grach (500m of ascent). If it has been wet this could be boggy in sections. The way down is also off trail picking our way down a valley (steep in sections) between Dulyn and Melynllyn reservoirs. From Meynllyn Reservoir we will take a ‘jeep’ track back to the car park.
NOTE ADVANCE BOKING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS WALK
LEVEL Strenuous
As large sections of this hike are off track if the conditions are not favourable the hike will be rerouted omitting Foel Grach.
The strenuous rating has been applied because large sections of the hike are not on a footpath. It is important that if you wish to join this hike you are comfortable walking off trail at a steady pace.
