We walk through the village of Asfordby down to the site of the water mill, across the Station Road into fields where a new wood has been planted (85000) trees.
Then cross the railway line and into the very attractive village of Frisby eventually crossing the river Wreake passing the football field and the edge of the new estate back through the village to the hall.
A picnic is not required on this walk as we should finish by 12.30 at the latest.
There will be some mud and no stiles. Overall, it is a very attractive walk of 4 miles, should some want to do it there is the opportunity of walking the Frisby Lakes, about another mile.
Dogs are welcome on this walk, with the proviso that they are on leads at all times
There is a cafe in the village and a pub.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
