Overview

"After the washout in March this is a second attempt at this pleasant amble. It starts with a walk through the attractive village of Fulbeck and follows a headland path half way to Caythorpe.  From there a track goes due west leading to views over the Witham and Trent valleys. The amble continues to Gorse Hill Lane with a short road walk into Caythorpe. After an optional loop around the village, the route passes through the hall grounds rejoining the path back to Fulbeck.

There is a short, steep, climb out of Fulbeck rising 80 feet (25 m) in 320 yards (300 metres). Total road walking is 1½ miles including village streets. After a very wet winter there will be mud.

The start of the amble is accessible by bus. Service 1 to Grantham leavesLincoln Central Bus Station at 09:45 arriving Fulbeck, Hare and Hounds at 10:25.  Return buses leave Fulbeck at 13 minutes before the hour. (Please check times.) The craft centre and café can be visited while waiting."
