A circular walk that starts at High Street Kensington Station taking in interesting London streets. We will visit Brompton Cemetery which is one of the most historic in London, go though to the Kings Road/ Cheyne Walk and across the river. Then along the Thames Path to Chelsea Bridge. After crossing this, we carry on to Chelsea passing The Royal Hospital Chelsea, home to the Chelsea Pensioners. We also pass Brompton Oratory Church and many more interesting sights on our way back to Kensington through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Please bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day, although there are cafes on route to get a drink.
Meet outside High Street Kensington Station at the slightly later than usual time of 10.30am.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you. Please remember to bring along your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with details of emergency contacts, medical conditions and medications.
The leader has set a limit of 18 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
