We continue along the St Albans Way. This section of the walk briefly re-joins the LOOP but mainly follows the Watling Chase Timberland Trail, though parks, woodland and fields. It is a fairly level walk. There will be a cafe on the way to stop for lunch or bring a packed lunch as there are seats in park area to use.
The walk starts at Elstree and Borehamwood Station, WD6 3LS. As this is a liner walk it is suggested parking at Radlett Station WD7 7AP (where we will end the walk) as there is plenty of parking, then taking the train to Elstree and Borehamwood station, one stop away, to the start of the walk . For this reason, we are starting the walk at 10.30am. Cost of parking at Radlett Station car park all day is £3.30 on a Saturday.
Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you.
The leader has set a limit of 18 walkers and requires you to book.
To book a place on the walk please text Jane on 07966 418151 giving your name and mobile phone number. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
