Overview

A slower-paced country walk through fields and following the route of the former Chelmsford Racecourse on Galleywood Common. No styles, some rough tracks. Option to visit St Michael's Christmas Tree Festival on return (£2.50 entrance in aid of church roof). NB: if you intend to visit the church please bring boot covers as it will be muddy in places.

At end of the walk tea & coffee will be available in the church. UPDATE: The Horse and Groom have a private function so they cannot offer food.

UPDATE: If coming from Great Baddow direction beware that Watchouse Road is closed so best to use Beehive Lane.
