This is the second walk in a tri-part chocolate café series, a meandering 8-mile circular walk around Goring and ending at a well-deserved rest at the Goring chocolate café.
This walk requires advance booking via Meetup (see Website link). Please do not turn up without booking. If you are unable to use Meetup but would like to attend, please either ask someone else to register you as their guest, or email walkbookings@berkshirewalkers.co.uk with your request.
Pace: medium.
Walk details
We head out of Goring along the Chiltern Way, passing through Great Chalk Wood and getting some good views of Goring on our first mini-ascent (don’t worry, its a fairly flat walk after!) After passing through the woods we pass Cray’s Pond and head for Woodcote where we will have our lunch by the Woodcote recreation grounds. After lunch, we continue back towards Goring, skirting Dean Wood and Wroxhills Wood before our final descent towards Goring. For those that wish, there is an optional visit to the Goring chocolate café to celebrate the end of the walk with a well-deserved hot chocolate.
