Join us for a 6 mile circular Sunday stroll from Sandhurst Station round Horseshoe Lake, through Bluebell Woods and up to Finchampstead Ridges.

This will be a medium paced walk.

The walk will start at 11.10 from Sandhurst Train Station. We will meet at the bottom of the ramp to Platform 1. 

From the train station we will head along Sandhurst High Street before going down a country lane and walking round Horseshoe Lake. We then head along the Blackwater River and through Moor Green Lake Reserve. 

The route then takes us through woodland up to Finchampstead Ridges where we will get a nice view for our lunch stop. We will then continue through woodland and farmland for 1.5 miles before returning to Horseshoe Lake. If time allows we may stop at the coffee shop at the lake for a coffee / hot chocolate before returning to Sandhurst Station. 

 

By Public transport: If traveling by train from Reading please get the 10.50 train which gets to Sandhurst for 11.08.

 

By car: Please be aware there is no car park at Sandhurst Train Station. However, you may be able to park in nearby roads. Please check signs for any parking restrictions. You can also park at Sandhurst Memorial Park about half a mile from the station.
