The 13.5 mile walk contains a mix of commons, parkland, woods, as well as passing close to farms and through some more urban areas.
There are likely to be horses in some of the places we pass through and possibly cattle. There about three or four stiles.
From Gerrards Cross we head across the common and across into Gerrards Cross Country Park. We then pass through some woodland before following a road, for a short distance, over the M40. We then follow the path through Hedgerley Green and down into the village of Hedgerley, before following the lane passing Pennlands Farm, then on into Egypt Woods and Burnham Beeches. We pass through the nature reserve before crossing Farnham Common and Stoke Common. Depending on time / pace there may be an opportunity to stop at 'The Fox & Pheasant' pub at Stoke Poges before heading on, passing Hedgerley Park Farm and under the M40 to Bulstrode Park and Gerrards Cross.

You should bring lunch with you, as well as plenty of water. Dress appropriately for the weather. The walk will be postponed should heavy rain / strong winds be forecast. It is likely to be muddy in places.
The Start point is Gerrards Cross Railway Station just in front of the ticket barriers There are several car parks at Gerrards Cross, at the station (£6.90) and Packhorse Road car park (£8.20). Check parking restrictions if parking in nearby streets - some apply on Saturday, whilst others do not. Also, allow time to walk to the station.
