Ascend from car park northward to Twyn Dysgwylfa and continue ascent westward to Mynydd Pwllyrhebog and wind turbines. Proceed to the ford at Gilfach Goch following paths to the west of Mynydd Maes-teg returning via Evanstown.
The walk includes 1000 feet of ascent and includes woodland and moorland paths as well as wide tracks serving the Pant y Wal Wind Farm. Good visibility will provide views across the Severn Estuary and the mountain terrain. Wind turbine enthusiasts will also be well served!
Hazards: The summer vegetation can hide ground holes on the moorland so care underfoot required. There is no road walking.
Car park on LH side of B4564 A4119 to A4093. Take RH turn on B4564 (Gilfach Goch). After 1.1 miles the road takes a RH bend. Car park is a further 0.6 miles on LH side. Entry is obscure and unsigned!
