Overview

A circular walk of about three miles.  Celebrate International Women's Day today on this walk through the Square Mile, where historic hidden courtyards and alleyways provide a vivid contrast to the iconic new architecture.  On our way we will explore many sites with female associations, including civic, creative, and 'first' achievements.  Many will be familiar, others have remained largely unknown.  We will have a short refreshment and toilet stop at a suitable point.
A joint walk with Blackheath Ramblers which should finish by about 14.00.
!!!  This walk is limited to 30 people who must book in advance with the leader.
Leader: Helen Abbott (helenabbott@aol.com, 07930 367984).
