This five-mile walk , mainly alongside the Lea Navigation, continues our Lea Valley Walk from Cheshunt to Trinity Buoy Wharf. This section is not all pretty views and canal barges. Anyone who has not walked this way in recent times will be astonished, or possibly dismayed, at the massive redevelopment going on. This includes redevelopment of an allegedly clean recycling plant with an adjacent power station and a new major road bridge. But towards the end of the walk the more tranquil scenery returns at Tottenham Marshes and Walthamstow Wetlands. Towards the end of the walk we will stop for a late lunch at the Waterside Cafe at Stonebridge Lock where there are toilets. Toilets are also available at Tottenham Hale mainline station at the end.
Should finish by about 15.30.
!!! No booking required, just turn up.
