This walk takes us from Central Station down to the River Clyde and we follow the river until we reach the Transport Museum, crossing the new bridge into Govan to look at the Govan stones, after which we recross the river and have lunch outside the Transport Museum. From there we'll head to Kelvingrove Art Gallery, where we can decide if the five miles walked is sufficient , whereby we would take a bus back to the city, or, if we wish to add a further mile by going through Kelvingrove Park , we would take the underground back to the city centre.
We will meet at the Biggar Corn Exchange at 9 a.m. for lift sharing in order to get the train at Lanark at 9.50 a.m. (probably parking at the retail park). The walk leader will take the train from Larkhall at 10.02 a.m. (Chatelherault at 10.07 a.m.) and meet everyone under the clock at Central Station.
