Directions: A9 to Tomatin turn off. Take first 1st right for approx ½ mile and park on the left side of the road at the sign Glenan Lodge – GR792303.
After a short walk through some residential homes and then forest, we will stop for a coffee break in the shelter of the trees. Now on open hill the track ascends gently to the lunch bothy below Carn na Bhothain. Lovely views of surrounding hills and a chance for eagle spotting. For folk who wish the walk can be extended involving a slight ascent and approximately ½ mile or simply have a relaxing lunch at the bothy. Return by outward route. Coffee, cake and craic at the ‘Taste of Tomatin’.
