A lovely circular walk with breathtaking panoramic views - weather permitting!
Join us to gradually follow the Cotswold Way uphill and through meadows, and then climb Kelston Roundhill.
There are some steep sections to get there but, weather permitting, we can enjoy stunning views in all directions, including the Avon Valley and hopefully Wales, the Wiltshire Downs and the Mendips.
Please bring a drink and a snack for a refreshment stop on Kelston Roundhill. We then continue on the Cotswold Way, then branch right for our return, passing farmland on our way back.
Walking boots recommended and, if you have them, walking poles would be helpful.
There will be an option to pop into a community café at the end of the walk.
Assistance dogs only, please.
The 5 mile route includes steep sections and one stile. There are resting places on route and we will keep the pace to suit you.
There are toilets near the start (at Tesco Express, High Street) but no toilets on the route.
The start is well served by buses – the number 4 and 4a, the start is two stops after RUH (Crown and Anchor). We suggest that car drivers head for Trafalgar Road BA1 4EW, and park considerately on nearby side roads.
The walk is free but, as numbers are limited, please book a place via the Eventbrite link below.
