We are the Scarborough and District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk starts from the National Park car park at Goathland. The walk goes over the moors, where there are fine views, to Grosmont, where we will stop for lunch. There may be opportunities to see the steam trains on the North York Moors Railway at Grosmont. After lunch the walk returns to Goathland via the Rail Trail, which winds through woods and fields and alongside streams. There are some hills to climb, but the walk will be conducted at a leisurely pace.
Sorry No dogs are allowed on this walk because of livestock on farmland and ground nesting birds.
Park and meet in the NY Moors car park in Goathland. There is a charge of £4.50 payable by card at this car park.
