You are welcome to join us for a circular walk from Gomshall Railway Station.
We will take an alfresco refreshment stop en route. After the break we continue towards Abinger common where we stop for lunch at a nearby pub or if you want to picnic there are benches in the church yard opposite the pub. The break may be up to an hour dependent on service of food at the pub.
Following lunch we return by a different route through woodland including a copse formerly owned by the novelist E M Forster.
Numbers not restricted but please advise the leader on 07966 030165 by Tuesday 28 November if you want to attend.
There are views of the North Downs on the outward part of the walk.
At the lunch break there is an opportunity to visit the church opposite the pub which sustained damage to the building and in the graveyard when a bomb struck what is now the pub but at that time was a hotel.
