Linear to Farncombe Station led by Adrian W (Mobile (day of walk only): 07584 864496). Rolling countryside with a few moderate hills. There will be some very muddy stretches but nothing should be impassible. Pursers Farm, Lawbrook, Farley Green, Shamley Green, Rooks Hill Farm, Eastwater House, Nurscombe Farm, Unsted Park. Picnic or lunch at ‘The Red Lion’ pub, Shamley Green. Drop-out point at Shamley Green after 7 miles with bus back to Guildford. Map: E145, L186/187.
Check trains the day before. Buy day return to Gomshall and a single from Farncombe to Guildford.
Gomshall Station (train from Waterloo at 09:00 (Haslemere service), calling at Woking at 09:25. Change at Guildford at 09:32 for the 09:37 Gatwick Airport service which arrives at Gomshall at 09:52).
