Overview

A picturesque walk, starting from Goodrich Castle car park, before dropping down alongside the River Wye as it enters the steep sided valley towards Lydbrook. Apart from the usual swans, ducks and canoeists there is always a good chance of seeing a Kingfisher fly past, making its distinctive call. The route continues to follow the river downstream, passing below Symonds Yat rock, before climbing gently along the lower edge of Coppett Hill nature reserve and returning back to Goodrich village.
