Overview

A short walk to see some of the historic buildings and beautiful grounds of the University of Roehampton campus then onto Putney Heath and Wimbledon Common where we’ll have lunch (picnic or cafe). Afternoon walk around the periphery of the Common to see the houses of the 'notable neighbours' including politicians, campaigners, financiers and aristocrats.

Some uneven ground so please wear walking shoes/boots.

Note that unfortunately the university archivist is ill so we are unable to do the tour as originally planned. If needed please contact the leader on 07899 798298.
