Overview

The walk takes us out of Cambridge along the Vicar's Brook, passing the nuclear bunker on the way. We then follow the busway through Trumpington, where the new housing estate appears to be competing with the nearby Addenbrookes site for the Carbuncle of the Year award. We also have a chance to see how close the new Cambridge South station is to completion

On reaching the Park & Ride (which makes a handy toilet stop), we venture into Trumpington Meadows and pass Byron's Pool to take us into Grantchester, where we have a choice of pub or tearoom. The walk concludes by taking the more conventional route along the river to lead us back to Cambridge.
