We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts at the car park of Great Bedwyn Village Hall. We head south west along the canal towpath to Church Lock where we head away from the canal into meadow and woodland. We walk through Castle Copse and Bedwyn Brail until we reach Wilton Windmill, an historic windmill built in 1821 which, thanks to dedicated repair, is still operating. At Wilton Hill we turn north east and head back through Wilton Brail to Church lock and hence to the village hall.
Please bring refreshments for a mid morning break.
Numbers are not limited, so no need to book but please car share where possible.
Meet in car park at Great Bedwyn village hall on Frog Lane. It adjoins the cricket pitch. The car park is shared by other users. Please park considerately.
