Circular walk followed by a Christmas meal at The Jet Miners in Broughton, please ask for further details if you wish to attend the dinner from paulineleyshon@hotmail.co.uk.
The walk is mainly on field paths and tracks (could be muddy/wet) with a little pavement walking. There is a small amount of ascent/descent.
We will start be walking E from the village to Meynell Hall then NW passing Red Hall, then through the caravan site and past the fishing lakes. Turning approx W we return to the village and then continue to Kirkby. We return along the pavement from Kirkby to the start. There are good views of the Cleveland Hills throughout.
The walk may be altered/shortened depending on weather, time and daylight and gives the opportunity for anyone to omit the loop to Kirkby.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy. Assistance dogs only.
Daylight is limited at this time of year! Please bring a head torch or torch if you have one in case of any delays.
