Overview

We will begin our quest from Egham station, making our way through the town centre and briefly along the A30 to Runnymede. We will then link up with the Thames Path and towards the Magna Carta tea room for a quick coffee break.

After feeling refreshed, we will make our way through the John F Kennedy Memorial and into Englefield Green before arriving at Virginia Water where we will trek around the Obelisk Pond before pausing for lunch.

After lunch, we will make our way through Windsor Great Park, passing Cumberland Lodge and link up with the Three Castles Path past the King George III statue onto the Long Walk. At Rush Pond, we will take a right turn to leave the Park and head into Old Windsor where we will pause for a pub stop at the Fox and Castle.

Following refreshment, we will return to Runnymede to take a look at the many monuments including the Jurors, Magna Carta Memorial, Writ in Water and (if open) the Air Forces Memorial. We will then make our return to Egham via Cooper’s Hill and back to the station.
