Overview

Starting in Grenoside we walk through Wheata woods and onto Wharncliffe Chase (American bison lived here once) with good views on a clear day. Across the moor and onto the edge of the crags before walking through Wharncliffe woods and back to Grenoside.
Forest tracks and paths with a few ups and downs, nothing too difficult. Expect plenty of mud on some of the tracks.

Bus 86 leaves from Sheffield and arrives at 9.42am saltbox lane/halifax road. it's a 5 to 10 min walk up to the cow and calf pub. I will be just round the corner

Drinks and food in the cosy Cow and Calf pub.
Please let me know before Friday midday if you would like a meal at the end. This should be around 3.00 to 3.30pm on Sunday.
We will still be having at lunch break around 1pm-ish

Cross House Road, Grenoside Park at the bottom end of the carpark if you are going in the pub after the walk. Roadside parking on Cross House Road, Grenoside. It's just round the corner from the Cow and Calf pub. Just off Skew Hill Lane. Please park considerately by not blocking any gates or driveways.
