Grenoside to Ecclesfield by field and woodland paths.

This walk of open spaces and good views starts in the centre of Grenoside village and heads through Wheata and Greno Woods to the highest point at Greno Knoll. We then descend gradually on woodland paths to the hamlet of Woodseats where we cross the busy A61 (care must be taken here as traffic can be heavy and moving quickly). From here we follow field paths across to Foxfield Spring on the edge of Burncross and join Windmill Hill Lane. We continue along this lane before heading on field paths to Hoyle House then on to Ecclesfield. The walk ends by passing the historic Ecclesfield Parish Church and remains of a former priory before finishing in Ecclesfield Park alongside the A6135(bus route).
