Overview

Start time: 13:00

Estimated finish time: 16:30 pm

Difficulty: Leisurely

Distance: 10.1km / 6.3mi

Walk leader: Beth (07956242703)

Join Beth for her final hike of 2025, where we do a lovely circular (and relatively flat) route from Haddenham through the pretty villages of Dinton and Cuddington, before we make our way back to the start point.

Along the way we'll pick up sections of two major local named footpaths: The Wychert Way and the Outer Aylesbury ring, and will mostly be walking through open farmland. Note it could be muddy if its rained recently, and please wrap up warm.

We'll stop for a drink at the warm and friendly Crown Inn in picturesque Cuddington and optionally go for a drink post-walk at The Kings Head in Haddenham.

Parking is at Haddenham Medical Centre (free, the centre is closed on Sundays) - for those arriving by public transport, the X20 bus stops just outside, and runs every 30 mins on Sundays between Aylesbury, Thame and Oxford. If you're coming by train, aim to get to Haddenham & Thame Parkway in time to get the 12.41 bus that goes past the medical centre stop (direction Aylesbury), or allow 25 mins on foot to the meeting point from the station.

Note the sun might be setting as we return to Haddenham so you may wish to bring a torch, but we will be back before nightfall.
