This walk combines Walks 5 and 6 of the new Telford Coronation Walks and part of the Telford T50 Trail and sections of the Silkin Way, to make a scenic circular walk on good paths throughout. Starting from Hadley Local Centre we visit Leegomery Pool and the listed old Leegomery Mill. We then continue to Apley Woods with its beautiful pools, carvings of woodland creatures, specimen trees and snowdrops. Returning via the Silkin Way we cross an 'artistic bridge' and visit the famous historic Guillotine Locks before returning to Hadley Centre.
The walk is mostly flat and on good firm surfaced paths, through parks, woodlands and along the side of quiet roads. At this time of year after rain there can be a bit of shallow surface mud in short patches. Bring a drink, snack, packed lunch. The walk start is near the bus station in High Street. The walk starts at the side of the Hop and Vine Bar Grill, near the Manse Road Long Stay car park. If coming by car enter Hadley Local Centre from the main road Haybridge Road / Britannia Way, as some of the car parks are part of a one way system.
