We are the Cambridge Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a London walk through parklands starting from Belsize Park underground station.
The walk, which is 10 miles approx, takes us in and around Hampstead. We walk some of the best of the Belsize area, then onto Hampstead Village and several areas of the Heath and then the beautiful Kenwood House. This being a sightseeing tour, we will enjoy the individual and, at times, outlandish styles of architecture, the history and the natural beauty of the area, which is outstanding in places. The area certainly lives up to its reputation for being home to artists and characters in general.
Weather permitting we will have some of the best views in the whole of London as this area is one of the highest in the capital.
The meeting point is Belsize Park underground station which is 5 stops on the Northern Line from Kings Cross. There will be at least three stops for refreshments and toilets. But please bring some food and drink as one of our stops will be for the viewing only and does not have a cafe. The first toilet stop is one and a half hours into the walk so you may want to use the toilets at Kings Cross before you set off to Belsize Park.
