The route takes us from Hanging Houghton to Maidwell along the Brampton Valley Way. Then we return along part of the Macmillan Way. We will be walking mostly on cinder tracks and a quiet country lane. There are two field sections both with sheep in so assistance dogs only please. There are no stiles and the views are spectacular. There is a section of bridle way that is a bit uneven and the road back up to Hanging Houghton is very steep. Its about 1km and takes 15 minutes.
There is some on street parking in Hanging Houghton and a small car park at Houghton Crossing. We shall be passing Houghton Crossing at approximately10.15. So you can meet us there if you wish and avoid the steep hill back up to HH.
