A circular walk from the church, heading counter clockwise through various tracks, fields, woods and lanes with the odd bit of rural road and some rather extensive crop fields to be negotiated as far east as Middlewood and then northward to join the Wye Valley Walk and eventually get near the Wye River. Initially, tantalising sights are through the trees before we stop for lunch where we get a good view of the river from a high field above it. We then climb higher and eventually begin to head south westward towards Clifford and cross the B4352 and finally it is mown fields and tracks back to the church.
There will be livestock in various fields plus plenty of crops. There is a selection of stiles and a few wooden bridges, but nothing ropey was encountered. Follow the leader’s guidance when on the various roads, although there is likely to be very little traffic.
If you would like to join this walk, please book a place with the leader, if you are unable to attend, please cancel your place so that someone else can take your place. If you turn up without booking we may have to turn you away.
