The first time I walked this trail was in 2006, led by David Nixon, on a Wednesday SE Hants walk.  I asked if I could copy it for the Portsmouth Group - which  I did that year.  Although I have altered it in parts, It is still one of my favourite walks in the South Downs.  I am really saddened to learn of David's death - he was one of the truly good guys.  I will remember him on Sunday.
