The walk is 6.5 miles and takes us through farm-land, a nature reserve and along the Monarchs Way. Mainly footpaths and farm tracks with short stretches on minor roads. We go past an amazing garden with a range of follies and towers and a Manor House with the largest number of priest-holes in the country. The ground is mainly well drained but there are some short muddy stretches along a spring-line. No steep ascents. Four stiles. No toilets but several areas of quiet woodland. Bring a drink and snack for a short break around 11.15
We will meet in back right corner of The Dog Pub at Harvington.
The Dog Pub will be open by the end of the walk as will the Cafe at Harvington Hall. If you plan to eat at The Dog, best to book a table online. www.doginnpub.co.uk . However, the "Sticky Fig" Cafe at Harvington Hall does not usually require booking for snacks and drinks.
