Start from Hawkridge Reservoir CarPark
The walk is 3.58 miles, 300 ft climbing, half an uphill, one down hill, the rest reasonably flat. The down hill is rough – bring ski poles. 10 stiles. Dogs not advised as two loose dogs at end.
Not too muddy. Highland cattle are gone (I like highland cattle), lucky village, nice Lime Kiln, house called Chedzoy? Some friendly ponies. 5 acres of lawn. Nice friendly ponies. And Hinkley point in view just for Liz. Gorgeous views, ( two batteries, Gill!).
