A gentle, circular walk from Blackwater past Hawley Lake, through Minley Woods and over Yateley Common.
This walk requires advance booking via Meetup (see Website link). Please do not turn up without booking.
Pace: gentle.
Walk details
We'll head south from Blackwater station through Hawley Common and past Hawley Lake. We'll then continue west to Minley Woods, hopefully finding a good spot to stop for lunch. After lunch we'll head north through the woods until we reach the Ely pub, where we will be able to use the toilets, and buy a drink if you like [https://www.chefandbrewer.com/pubs/hampshire/ely]. Finally we'll head east through Yateley Common and back to Blackwater station, completing the loop.
Please note, this walk goes through the MOD Aldershot Training Area. Please familiarise yourself with the guidance on this [https://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking-hub/walking-military-land]: do not touch anything suspicious, and dogs must be kept under close control at all times.
