Climbing up Hay Bluff to the plateau on the top, walking along the flat (stopping for coffee) we reach The Cats Back and a steep descent takes us into the Olchon valley. We walk along a quiet lane and start to gently ascend towards the top again. The views looking back from this climb are spectacular. We will have lunch at the top. We walk around the side of the Bluff to descend and head back to the cars.
NB this was originally Sue’s walk, it’s not exactly the same but I hope she won’t mind if we do it again!
This walk includes some steep climbs and as it’s quite long we will keep going with stops and catch ups at the top.
If it is a clear day the views are quite spectacular.
Park at the bottom of Hay Bluff in the general parking area.
