This is a lovely walk exploring the Spernall section of the emerging Heart of England Forest. The walk includes woodland trails within Morgrove Coppice, Haydon Way Wood and Spernall Park, and a loop around Coughton Court.
The Heart of England Forest project was founded by the publisher, poet and tree-planter Felix Dennis and over 2 million new trees have been planted so far. The target is 13 million new trees ! Unfortunately Coughton Court will be closed for the winter season but we will be able to admire it from afar !
Be prepared for some muddy, slippery sections, especially so if there’s been a lot of rain (pole useful). There are some gentle ascents and some road and good track walking too.
