Overview

Starting from Helsby Nature Reserve, we will ascend Helsby hill which will provide us with some wonderful views of the Mersey estuary. On the way up we will pass the Helsby tunnels and follow the ridge until we descend towards Frodsham and head towards Woodhouse hill. We ascend to reach two viewpoints and have lunch on the top to enjoy the scenery. We will then follow the Sandstone Trail for a few kilometers whilst making our way back to Helsby.
