Overview

Starting from Cumberland Road on Heatherside, we walk thro' an avenue of Sequoia trees before crossing the B3015 to Chobham Ridges skirting the 'Danger Area' turning to walk parallel with Red Road. We then cross the B311 & make our way to the top of High Curley (Good views towards London on a clear day). After short stop we descend to Lightwater Country Park where we will take 'banana' break before crossing the new M3 footbridge following a footpath, possibly muddy in places behind the houses, on undulating paths arriving at the Water Tower continuing on undulating paths to M3 tunnel before entering 'Vehicle Testing Area' (again undulating) then crossing the B3015 & B311 returning to Heatherside along the Avenue at the start of the Giant Sequoias (correct name for Wellingtonia trees) - fact we have more Sequoias in UK than San Francisco
