Overview

This  walk will be part of, ‘The High Weald Walking Festival’.

Please note start time.

The walk takes us from the village of Balcombe to Ardingly Reservoir.
The walk should provide some views back across the valley in this area of National Landscapes across the Balcombe and Borde Hill Estates in the High Weald.

This walk will start near Balcombe Station, meeting at the bus stop on the main road outside the station on the same side of the road as the station.

Please bring a snack and a picnic.

We will have our lunch break by the reservoir and the cafe may be open.

There is opportunity for refreshment at the end of the walk in the Half Moon pub in Balcombe.

Ardingly Inn or Gardeners Arms in Ardingly provide alternatives after the walk for refreshments.

Nearby Wakehurst is always worth a visit doesn’t close until 6pm, ( last entry 5:30).

Please meet at the bus stop outside Balcombe station on the same side as the station. If you travel by car you should be able to park in the station car park or the lay by near St Mary’s Church in Balcombe. Meeting place at the bus stop.
